As with millions of other sci-fi enthusiasts, 2OO1: A Space Odyssey is my all-time favorite movie. After growing up on a steady diet of "Destination Moon", "Invaders From Mars", "Conquest Of Space" and the like, 2OO1 was, to say the least, an experience like no other. The visuals, the scope of the narrative and the ambient music was far ahead of its time. This piece is my homage to the Ligeti Requiem heard during the Stargate sequence.
